Gurdwara Guru Nanak Dwaar is the India’s first bamboo-built Gurdwara set in the majestic, historical surroundings of Pali hills. This rugged, natural landscape will provide the perfect environment for spiritual upliftment and healing. The Gurdwara will feature bamboo construction, natural beautification, a Sikh training centre for Granthis, Gianis and Ragis to become jewels of knowledge, free Langar, conference halls, function rooms and annual Smagam celebrations throughout the year. The Gurdwara will spread the universality of Guru Nanak Dev Jee’s blessings and teachings.
The Gurdwara Guru Nanak Dwaar, Pali (Raigad, Maharashtra) requires one suitable candidate to work in a newly built and growing Gurdwara Sahib. To carry out all kitchen related duties in the Gurdwara and work in accordance with the instructions of the Management Committee of the Gurdwara with other female sewadars.
Food preparation and cooking include: - Wash, peel, chop, and measure ingredients according to recipes. - Cook a variety of dishes using different methods like grilling, baking, and frying. - Follow recipes to ensure food is prepared correctly, with proper portioning and presentation. - Check the freshness of food and ingredients and discard out-of-date items. Cleaning and maintenance includes: - Keep the kitchen, equipment, and utensils clean throughout the day. - Wash and dry dishes, pots, and pans. - Sweep and mop floors and properly dispose of trash. - Maintain a clean and organized work area. Safety and hygiene includes: - Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. - Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to prevent contamination. - Ensure refrigerated and frozen foods are kept at proper temperatures. - Inventory and supplies - Assist with receiving and storing new food and supply deliveries. - Monitor food stock levels and notify a supervisor when items need to be reordered. - Rotate stock to ensure older items are used first. - Minimize waste through proper storage and usage. Teamwork and communication includes: - Communicate with other kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure timely service. - Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and efficient work environment.
